...that if you try to register early, my college puts all your classes into a shopping cart?
Four classes are now in the cart: French 203, American Diplomatic History, Intro. to Philosophy of the Mind, and Intro. to Computer Science.
For those of you not familiar with college lingo, Intro. to Computer Science is a class where you learn how to turn on a computer and work all the basic functions. The Office Complex, IE, the "explore" function...you get the point.
And here I spent some time last year teaching myself the finer points of Excel, which includes basic HTML coding. I am going to snore through this class...
I rock the French!!
Yes indeed! I just tested out of an entire year of French classes. Go me!
Subtitled: Whew!
Nature of History, H217, is required for all History majors. (Yes, I am a History major. Please don't all ask at once if I'm going to teach). Our term paper is eight pages on the historiography of any American movement, and I've chosen Elizabeth Cady Stanton, leader of the Woman's rights movement. (The answer is no. No, I am not going to teach). The problem: It is not eight pages. It's sixteen pages. Whoops.
What is historiography, you might ask? It's comparing the way different historians treat a subject. Fascinating, I know. The class may just as well been called "How to write a history paper" and had the final word on the subject.
Also, kudos to the major cool guy who found my cousin's cell phone and returned it to her, after frantically calling friends and family to find out who it belonged to!! That man is a class act, let's buy him a martini!
So, initially I never knew why anyone would want to write a blog. However, I'm going to treat this as an exercise in writing, and just write. You never know what could happen.
I have a Philosophy of Cognitive Science exam on Tuesday. I've only studied about a quarter of what I should have. So, I guess I have to really cram tomorrow night...
